You can order a wrap or a box.

You also have your choice of extras, which generally are: mushrooms and peppers, chickpeas in a spicy sauce, beans, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, mixed salad leaves, jalapenos pickles, red cabbage, and humus. (The chickpeas and beans are organic.)

You can also order halloumi for a small extra amount.

Vegan choices made from seitan

Vegan Fried Chik’n or Vegan Doner in a wrap or a box.

Village Kitchen specialises in delicious dishes for vegans made from seitan. Seitan is flour made from ‘vital wheat gluten’, a natural protein found in wheat. Seitan has a meat-like texture and it is great at absorbing flavours.

Spices and other seasonings are added to the seitan while it is cooking to create the desired meat flavour, such as southern fried chicken flavour. The result is a meal which is firmly vegan but tastes like meat.

They cook these fresh every day. The Vegan Fried Chik’n is fried. The Vegan Doner is boiled

Further good news is that seitan is very high in protein and low in carbs.

Vegetarian

They do a vegetarian kebab, which is a kebab made of chunks of fresh vegetables, grilled and served in a wrap.

Kurdish cuisine

The style of food is generally familiar across the Turkey and the Middle East. But this food is specifically Kurdish and has its own particular flavours.
